WhatsApp is always looking for ways to improve the experience of its users. Like last year, this year also the company is going to roll out several new features.
The company is working on a feature that would let users use WhatsApp on two different devices at once. The feature is multi-device support. For example, if you are using WhatsApp on your mobile, you can also use it on your tablet at the same time.
Wabetainfo had reported that a new feature is in the works which would allow users to use different wallpapers for different conversations. So when a user sets a new wallpaper. The app will inquire if the user wants to set the wallpaper for the current conversation or all the conversations. A user can choose wallpapers for different chats.
WhatsApp is reportedly working on the self-destructing message feature for some time. And the company is going to roll out the stable version of this feature soon. The report tells us that users can allow Expiring messages or disappearing messages. Which will delete messages itself after seven days. Though, in group conversations, this feature is not offered. In the group, only the group admin will have this authority. After you enable this feature, 7 days old messages will disappear from your conversation box.
New Animation Stickers
WhatsApp recently launched animated stickers on its platform. These animated stickers will play only once in the chat and don’t loop again and again. If you want to start their animation, users will have to play it. Nonetheless, by default, the animated sticker plays once and stops on its own. WhatsApp has presented a new animation type for animation stickers. The animation will run in a loop eight times. Extended animated stickers will have smaller loop times.
Verify forwarded messages
Along with the lethal coronavirus, the world is also fighting fabrication that travels over social media. WhatsApp too becomes the transporter of fake news most of the time. So in an attempt to control fabrication, WhatsApp is working on a feature that allows users to confirm messages that they receive on WhatsApp. As per WABetainfo, WhatsApp is working to launch the feature for Forwarded Messages. Once the feature is executed, users will see a search icon right next to the messages that are sent. If you click on the search icon, WhatsApp will ask if you want to search the message on Google to check the validity of the message or not.
